Sri Lankan Hans Ebert and The Mamdani Effect

Children are busy drawing

gossamer wings to their songs

And happy to let their

imaginations just fly

They’re happily creating

their own mixtape worlds

While adults sit around and cry

The old men are drinking

from half empty glasses

They’re still talking about all

their old business plans

They talk in millions and billions

But they don’t even

know where they now stand

Their platforms are getting creaky

The double chins are now

jowls and duffel bags

They need the Mamdani Effect

to shine on them

Here is where

happiness never sags

Be a doer who’s not full of fakery

Flim flam grifters never last

You’re only as good

as your last hit

Even the best looking legacies

often unwind

very very fast

The Mamdani Effect

smiles through the slot

We’re seeing someone winning

with a Can to every Cannot

Action speaks louder than words

Always did and always will

The old cabals are all at sea

And that online world

appears to be standing still

I follow the Mamdani Effect

because I see a bright light

It’s not the same old story

That’s now Musky and wobbly

And sure doesn’t look AI right

The Mamdani Effect

shines through every fire

It’s about positivity and change

and all things fab

Yes, we can, Zohran!

Yes, we can!

And all we need is love!

The Blue Meanie army

They’re on their way out

Here comes the sun

to wash away the clouds

Here’s to a world

living as one

in perfect harmony

With no negativity allowed

The Mamdani Effect

is a giant leap forward

It may not be perfect

But what is?

It’s at least

getting us somewhere fast

And something

that’s making us feel good

I know a city that

really got played

And then she got

played again

She’s back being

a barren rock

And going in reverse

With its ding dong name

This is a city in need

of The Mamdani Effect

About learning to start anew

No more rising

one trick ponies, please

Trojan horses have never

brought in anything new
