The Importance of GOATs And Not Being Sheep.

The world must quickly learn to wean itself from the vulgarity of the Tangerine Man in the White House who is an unapologetically corrupt, narcissistic and a serial blubber of evil wreaking havoc wherever he and his filth move and leave a long line of slime behind them.

He has stolen the sunshine, lollipops and roses from us and made the world a dark and deeply divided place with dank plots and subplots never seen before.

Now, more than ever, the world needs the light switched back on to shake off the goo.

Having said this, we cannot blame everything that has so suddenly created an obscenely out of whack world on this slug and his ongoing slug fest.

We created a clearing for him to blur the lines between the online and offline worlds that have disrupted and controlled the narrative by weakening the immune system of many.

It’s made Being Stupid to be okay through artificial intelligence that’s dumbing things down to never seen levels of mediocrity and allowing the art of the steal to happen. It’s cunningly made us lose sight of Humankind.

This is perhaps why we need to think about those we see as GOATS and remind ourselves of them, and find ways to bring back humanity and humankind.

We all have different thoughts and doable ideas on how these changes can happen and which is because we are all different. We are individuals- and thank gawd that we are. I didn’t sign up to be another brick in the wall.

For me and Muzi, it’s an incomplete list because to be added must be Muhammad Ali, Diane Keaton, the Blue album by Joni Mitchell…

But for the sake of time…

Artist Gary Larson, who through his cartoons and characters including animals and aliens and Neanderthals shone a light on the stupidity of human kind and everything wrong they continue to do to their home on earth.

His Far Side cartoons take us into his thought provoking creativity that makes us laugh and think at the same time.

Don Draper. He was flawed and drunk on and addicted to ambition and despite having a trophy wife was drawn to other women and serial infidelity.

He was probably waiting to be saved from himself and whose characteristics some of us recognise in ourselves and are working on it.

Cats, especially, because of their nonchalance and suspicions and being friends with those around them only on their terms and the unconditional love of dogs and every other animal whose natural habitat humans have trampled and torn apart.

*He played so many characters that some say no one ever saw the real Peter Sellers, a very complex individual and man of many faces and voices who Muzi interviewed a few times in Hong Kong.

He struggled to find happiness and disappeared into his roles and his rare interviews where he played cat and mouse with those trying to find the real person hiding inside Inspector Clouseau, Chauncey Gardner, Doctor Strangelove, the Birdie Num Num Papadum…

And that’s all he wrote, at least for the time being.
